Peter Danemo - Music for Big Band

First there’s two songs from a really exciting project with Krister Jonsson Trio + Svante Henryson and Tromsø Kammarorkester. The project was built on Krister Jonssons music and me, Krister and Svante arranged a few pieces each. I wrote the arrangements for the two pieces Om Kor (About Cows!) and Do We. The project was a fantastic experience for all of us. Tromsø Kammerorkester were extremely generous and open minded. A joy to play together.

The last piece is an arrangement of Antonio Vivaldis Winter. I wrote this for Blue House Jazz All Stars and The Swedish String Ensemble. The beautiful violin solo is played by Åsa Wirdefeldt.

This two songs from a concert with the Lundin-Danemo Kvartet at Jazz Club Fasching November 10, 1995. First one is called Parallells, composed by Fredrik Lundin, then a drum intro that leads into one of mine songs, Tango Mystique

It’s highly representative of the quartet’s musical style. The group consisted of Fredrik Lundin – saxophones, Jacob Karlzon – piano, Mattias Svensson – bass, and Peter Danemo – drums. Most of the music we play was composed by Fredrik and myself. The concert was fortunately recorded by Fasching’s sound engineer, Pawel Lucki.
