November 2009. Pianist Klas Nevrin and bassist P\u00e4r-Ola Landin didn\u2019t hesitate when I called them with my idea. My idea was very simple: \u201dLet\u2019s play together, without preparation, plan, or goal. Play a note or two, and let what happens show us the way.\u201d<\/p>\n

We met in a room, set up microphones.Apart from a few notes during the soundcheck, we had never played together before.

We exchanged a glance, and then we started to play. Suddenly, an hour and a half had passed. I quickly mixed the recording and sent it to Klas and P\u00e4r-Ola. We were all happy with what had emerged, and we briefly considered whether we should do something with the recording.<\/p>\n

Sixteen years later, I dug up the recording and was pleasantly surprised when I listened to it. I mixed it once more and sent it to Klas and P\u00e4r-Ola with the question: \u201dThis should be released\u2014what do you think?\u201d
This is the result of that brief encounter\u2014a snapshot of a meeting between three musicians, where their curiosity about each other and what would unfold guided them forward. – Peter Danemo 2025<\/p>\n
