I find myself in the legendary Atlantis Studio in Stockholm. It\u2019s 9:30 AM. A kind of low-key activity is underway. Some are warming up, someone is looking through their sheet music while sipping a cup of coffee. There\u2019s casual conversation and joking. Most things are in place. We do a quick soundcheck. I glance out across the studio room. Suddenly it hits me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The musicians who have been so present in my thoughts while composing the music are now right in front of me. All the work has led to this moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we\u2019re here. This is when it happens. We\u2019ve rehearsed for a couple of days. Everyone is familiar and comfortable with what\u2019s written. The path and the space in between\u2014we know very little about that. I look out over the room again and let myself be filled with the calm concentration that is slowly spreading. I take a deep breath. The music will go where it wants to go.
