Fourteen years after the release of their highly acclaimed double album Music for Dancers and Dreamers<\/em> (Stunt Records STUCD 19712), Peter Danemo and Fredrik Lundin<\/strong> return with a powerful new album, featuring legendary trumpet player Jan Allan<\/strong>. Titled Nat<\/em>\u2014the Danish word for “night”\u2014the album was released on Kopasetic Productions<\/strong> in May 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Danemo and Lundin first began collaborating in the early 1990s when they founded the Lundin\/Danemo Quartet<\/strong>. The quartet released the widely praised Music for Dancers and Dreamers<\/em> on Stunt Records<\/strong> in 1997 and remained highly active until 2001, when the members went their separate ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In January 2010, their new quintet made its debut at the intimate Glenn Miller Caf\u00e9<\/strong> in Stockholm.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The new quintet brings together three generations of Scandinavian jazz. Legendary trumpet player Jan Allan<\/strong> represents the era when Swedish jazz was at its peak in Scandinavia, having played with icons such as Lars Gullin, B\u00f6rje Fredriksson, and Bernt Rosengren, among others. The younger, adventurous generation is represented by the talented pianist Jonas \u00d6stholm<\/strong>, while Danemo<\/strong>, Lundin<\/strong>, and Spering<\/strong> represent the seasoned middle generation. Five artists with remarkable integrity, coming together to form a strong and cohesive collective.
