I was born in 1961 in Ume\u00e5 and grew up in V\u00e4sterg\u00f6tland, in a small town called Tibro. Since the early 1980s, I have been working as a freelance musician, with drums as my primary instrument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent many years living in Malm\u00f6, during which time I played extensively in Denmark. Those were incredibly important years\u2014I had the opportunity to perform a great deal with fantastic musicians and bands. The more time passes, the more I realize just how significant those years were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2007, I have been based in Stockholm, where I have established my musical foundation. In addition to my freelance work, I am involved with Kopasetic Productions, a musician collective that releases CDs, organizes concerts, festivals, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I currently lead a couple of groups and projects:
Gl\u00e4ntan<\/strong> my chamber group consisting of five musicians with background in classical music and four jazz musicians.
Ligthouse<\/strong> a joint project with tenor saxophonist and composer Malin W\u00e4ttring<\/a>.
I’m also in the process of starting a septet and are at the moment working on new music. More to come about that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below are some earlier projects.
LED<\/a>, which performed my arrangements of Led Zeppelin\u2019s music.
Meloscope<\/a>, a quartet playing my own compositions.
Lundin Danemo Kvintett<\/a>, a group I ran together with my good friend Fredrik Lundin. It featured the Swedish Jazz legend and trumpet player Jan Allan.
Peter Danemo Kapell<\/a>, en nonett som spelar min musik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, I also work as a sideman and regularly perform with Lina Nyberg, Joakim Milder, Karl-Martin Almqvist, Robert Nordmark, Christian Spering, Horncraft and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, I have increasingly taken on work as a composer and arranger. Throughout 2015, I was Composer in Residence<\/em> for Norrbotten Big Band. I have also written arrangements for Troms\u00f8 Chamber Orchestra, Norrbotten Big Band, Oulu All Star Big Band, Blue House Jazz All Stars, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
